Welcome to Book Blogger Friday and our introduction to Jamie B Musings! Jamie has several blogs that she’ll tell us about, as well as various ways we can stalk her. The purpose of Book Blogger Friday is to introduce authors to book bloggers. This is not an invitation to swamp Jamie with review requests! but it is an encouragement to wander over to Jamie’s blogs and say hi – make a bloggy friend!
BPC – Introduce yourself and your blog.
Jamie – I’m a pop culture and photography geek who loves music just a little too much! I’m also an author and pet servant (yes, they are a demanding bunch). My blog, Culture Shock, is about anything and everything pop culture. I do reviews of books, movies, CDs and TV shows. I also host authors.
BPC – Do you see yourself as a voracious reader?
Jamie – Sometimes. I tend to go through phases where I can’t read enough, and then there are times where I just can’t get into the right mind frame to read.
BPC – How long have you been blogging?
Jamie – I’ve been blogging since around 2007/2008 when I was part of a project on a social networking site called Dada. The project fell through and I continued writing it on my own.
BPC – What made you decide to start book blogging?
Jamie – I didn’t choose it, it chose me. 
BPC – What genre(s) does your blog focus on?
Jamie – I write about all kinds of different books (bios, adult fiction, etc.), but I prefer paranormal/supernatural YA.
BPC – Has your reading tastes changed since you started your blog?
Jamie – Sort of. I do read more different kinds of books now, but I still have a love of YA.
BPC – Do you post reviews on your blog?
Jamie – Yes. I also usually end up cross-posting them to goodreads and/or amazon.
BPC – How many review requests do you get each month on average?
Jamie – It varies. I have a few tour companies that send me material and I also get the occasional random submission from someone who was referred to my blog.
BPC – Do you have a Review Policy or something similar?
Jamie – I have seen how some writers contact bloggers with “talking points” for their book or even offering money in exchange for a review. I will not accept any submissions that come that way. I am open to most genres, although I will not post any reviews for erotica on my blog. I try to keep it 18 and under appropriate. Please feel free to send your books in PDF or kindle format to jamiebmusings@gmail.com and make sure to include a synopsis and sample chapter.
BPC – Do you review Indie or Small Pub books?
Jamie – Absolutely I love indie writers.

BPC – Do you host guest posts or interviews?
Jamie – I host guest posts (pop culture/writing related please), interviews, cover reveals, book features and excerpts.
BPC – What information do you require when an author approaches you?
Jamie – Please see the review policy above. I’d also need a bio/links/cover art and/or author photo. Please indicate if you do not want an excerpt shared.
